December 4: Free First Tuesday Pub Talks
The first Tuesday of every month the Southern Oregon Historical Society offers a series of free monthly historical talks held upstairs at the 4 Daughters Irish Pub, 126 West Main Street in Medford. Talks begin at 7:00 p.m. and last about an hour, with ample time for questions and discussion afterwards. Chelsea Rose, Archaeologist and co-host of Underground History on the Jefferson Exchange, is our guest speaker at the December 4 First Tuesdays Pub Talk, “‘They came at first silently and labored quietly’: The History and Archaeology of Southern Oregon's earliest Chinese Residents.” Chelsea will discuss the journey from Southern China to Southern Oregon and the experiences, opportunities, and contributions of the Rogue Valley’s early Chinese population.
