Hanley Farmhouse – All Decked out for the Holidays!
December 26 costumed docents will guide you through the Hanley Farmhouse at Hanley Farm, bringing history to life with holiday tales and stories about the rich history of the Hanley family and farm. Three generations of Hanley’s lived in this lovey two-story farmhouse, beginning with Michael and Martha Hanley when they built this house in the late 19th century. The family’s holiday traditions endured to the 1980s, through Michael’s and Martha’s children, and then their three granddaughters, Martha, Mary and Claire. Join us, take a step back in time, learn how holidays were celebrated in the “days of yore.” Tours fill up quickly, so we urge you to purchase your tickets early and reserve your tour time at www.sohs.org/holiday! We look forward to seeing you December 26 at Hanley Farm, 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point; house tours are $5 for non-members, $3 for children and SOHS members, and run from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
