Homestead Herbalism: Herbs for Women’s Health & Wellness
Sunday, June 9, pack a picnic lunch, spend a relaxing afternoon at Hanley Farm, escape the summer heat in the shade of the Hanley trees, take a docent-led tour of the historic Hanley House, or take a self-guided farm tour. What a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon, yes? Sasha Rock, Clinical Herbalist, will conduct a free, 2-hour class at Hanley Farm. She’ll introduce plants specifically adept at treating women’s bodies, and explain the properties, benefits, and uses of each plant. Sasha will also discuss ways to know each plant and practice one of those methods in the class, and give instruction on various herbal preparations and recipes you can make at home for little or no cost. At the end of the day you’ll have an understanding of how to apply herbs in various uses for common conditions women face and for sustaining vibrant feminine health. June 9, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Homestead Herbalism: Herbs for Women’s Health & Wellness. Admission: free! House tours: $5/adults; $3/SOHS Members & Children. Hanley Farm, 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point
