Klamath Tribes: Restoration Celebration Powwow
Join the community of Klamath County for The Official Klamath Tribes Page. Restoration Celebration, August 25th - 27th. This annual event marks the anniversary of the Restoration of the Klamath Tribes; the Klamath, Modoc and Yahooskin Bands of the Snake Indians.
In 1954 the Klamath Tribes were terminatied. After many years of struggle, hard work and determination the Tribes regained federal recognition by an act of Congress. With restoration in 1986 the Tribes began to develop a full scope of programs to provide the ncecessary services for Tribal members and the community. They now celebrate their Restoration by hosting a huge celebration.
All events are open to the public and are drug, alcohol, and smoke free.
