Making Music at SOHS Hanley Farm
Throughout history, music has been a way of praising deities, observing rites of passage, lifting spirits, and celebrating special occasions. For its final Living History Summer Thursday on
August 24th at SOHS Hanley Farm, the Southern Oregon Historical Society will be offering a special evening of music making from 5pm to 8pm.
The Siskiyou Violins are a world class violin ensemble of young performers who have won three gold medals at the annual New York International Music Festival at Carnegie Hall. They were the first performers to receive a score of 100 from the judges and are a winner of the coveted Carnegie Medal. And Southern Oregon can claim them as its own!
