See a bit of History - up close
See a bit of history – up close!
In late October Oregon Quilters Project experts visited the SOHS Research Library Archives and documented quilts they had chosen from the collections list provided by the SOHS. These quilts became a part of the National Quilt Index at Michigan State University, giving our valuable quilt collection a place in an archive that is accessed for research and educational purposes from around the world!
We invite you to view these quilts November 1 at the Research Library Archives. Every quilt is a historic document, with its own unique story. Join for this public viewing, Thursday evening, November 1, 5pm to 7pm. Research Library located in the History Center Building, 106 N. Central Avenue in downtown Medford. The event is free with a suggested donation of $5 per person. For more information, please contact Stephanie Butler, SOHS Curator of Collections, at 541-488-8395 or curator@sohs.org.
